Please check in as often as possible in August, to ensure the draft is running smoothly. You may also predraft at MFL.com, or give a list to a commissioner. As we have done in past years, we will start off NOT using a timer. In the past couple years, we haven't needed to use a timer, and I hope everyone keeps the draft moving along so it will not be necessary.
The commissioners would also like to ask that you do NOT try to trade your draft pick while you are currently on the clock. Please make any trades prior to being on the clock, as this has slowed the draft down in previous years.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to post them here. Thanks!

Please allow me to clarify the "trading your pick while you are on the clock" rule. Some owners have asked a few questions on it. You can trade your pick while you are on the clock, however, we ask that you do not post your pick for trade while you are on the clock. Basically, if you already have a deal worked out, and your pick comes up, you can accept the deal. Mainly we ask that you do not try to begin negotiations while you are on the clock. Here are some examples: [glow=green,2,300]Acceptable:[/glow]You and another owner agree to a deal depending apon what is available at your spot. The other owner sends the deal to you, but you wait until you are up to see what is available. When your pick comes up, you then accept the deal that has been proposed to you. This is acceptable. [glow=red,2,300]Unacceptable:[/glow]You get to your pick and you don't like what you see, so you decide to post your pick for trade on the trade block. You have no current offers on the table, and possibly have not even begun negotiations with another owner yet. In previous years we have had owners wait 5 or 6 hours for other owners to even respond to the post, and negotiations drag that time out even further. If you wish to piss off the commissioners (mainly me), this is the way to do it! It is stressfull enough for me to make sure we average 2 rounds per week, please do not stress me out further! August is easily the worst month of the year for me in this league.

All keepers are declared. The draft will start shortly. Trading may officially resume. The draft doesn't officially start until Saturday, so no rush until then. Hurry up and pick though! A few things to remember:1. Predraft! I understand that nobody wants to predraft a dozen picks ahead, but if you are 2-3 picks away and you know you might not be available to pick for a few hours, predraft a few players please. All owners would appreciate the effort! 2. Check in as often as possible. Especially on the weekend. Sometimes we can get half a round done in a few hours during the weekend, so check in as much as you can to see if your pick is up. 3. Trading while you are on the clock. I explained the do's and dont's of trading on the clock in the above post. 4. You MUST draft a TMQB and TMPK during the draft. You MUST have as many picks remaining as team positions needed, AT ALL TIMES. Therefore if you need both team positions, you MUST have 2 draft picks left and they MUST be used to draft those team positions. Same is true if you need 1 team position. If you need both positions you may NOT draft a regular player with the first pick, then try to trade for an additional draft pick for your other team position. The reason for this is because there is no guarantee that you will be able to make a trade. If you wish to draft a regular player, you must acquire the additional pick prior to doing so. Every year someone tries to do it, and it ends up slowing the draft down. Please do not try to circumvent this rule! Commissioners may make replacement picks at their discretion if this rule is broken. 5. Visit the "Draft Board", comments on the draft can be made there. We do ask however that you do NOT discuss players that have not been selected yet. There is nothing worse than hoping a certain player falls to you, then someone posts a comment about him and he is selected just a pick or 2 in front of you. Please be considerate of other owners. 6. Have fun!

I'd also like to add that the commissioner lockout is ON. This means the commissioners are unable to see anyones predraft list as well as anyones trade offers. Just in case anyone was concerned about making predraft lists, they are completely secure.
