How you missed this when it was 3 posts above the one you quoted is beyond me: I am tempted to make the Broncos pick for him! There are only 2 picks left in the draft and he has to take the last TMPK with this pick here. ;D I know, I am not patient. I suppose it is possible that he makes a trade with the Dolphins to acquire the final pick in the draft, then he would not have to take the last TMPK here. At any rate, we have 2 full weeks left until the regular season. This is easily the earliest we have ever finished the draft. Great job to all owners on checking in often, and pre-drafting when necessary. As we usually do, we will have 1 waiver run prior to week 1. This run will happen Wednesday night/Thursday morning prior to the first NFL game of the year. Since the waiver run will happen basically the same day as that first game you have to remember to change your lineup that same day if you wanna start someone from that waiver run that plays on Thursday September 6th. Thanks again for a great draft, and good luck during the season! Easy there, soldier! I knew I saw it somewhere, and I started from the oldest posts on the board and worked backwards. Since this pre-season waiver pickup is not in the rules, I'm surprised I even remember this was grazed over in page 21 of the draft thread! I dunno, maybe I should have looked REALLY STUPID (kinda like the Lions owner) and made a separate thread asking this silly question. Anyhoo, now I know - thanks! ;D

No problem homie, this run is always done the same time every year. Last Wednesday night before the season opener.

-- Rams Claim Antonio Pittman; Waive Alexis -- Sun Sep 2, 2007 --from FFMastermind.com
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the Rams have claimed rookie RB Antonio Pittman (5-11, 207, Ohio State) off waivers from New Orleans. To make room for Pittman, the Rams waived RB Rich Alexis. Pittman was a fourth-round draft pick by the Saints. At Ohio State, he led the Buckeyes in rushing in both the 2005 and 2006 seasons. He had seven 100-yard rushing games last season, including 139 against arch-rival Michigan. He turned pro after his junior season.
Thought I'd point that out... ;D

I have S.Jackson in another league... how important do you think it is to pick up Pittman? I was thinking that I'd pick him up sometime during the season off the waiver wire when going against a weaker team... It is a keeper league also so just wondered what your thoughts were.... thanks!

I like Pittman a lot. I think he could pass Leonard in a couple of months after he picks up the offense. I would have preferred that he go to GB or NYJ. Oh well.

I doubt he will pass leonard, the Rams absolutely love him. I could however see a 50/50 split if Jackson were to ever get injured. Can't see Pittman doing better than that.

I have Leonard already and I doubt anyone will go after him as of now anyway but I'll probably look to pick him up during an easy match up.
