The player picked up during the waiver process is only eligible to be a keeper if he was NOT originally drafted in the first 3 rounds of that years annual draft.
Why do we go through this every year?

Great question. Everyone should be familiar with this rule by now. Obviously, if I were still in the playoff race, I would not have dropped Gordon or Ekeler. But non-keepers are of no use to me now. In fact, I've been kicking myself all season for not keeping Ekeler as a keeper. I chose to keep Brate instead and then I ended up trading Brate before the season even started for a player that I dropped after week 1 and a player that spent half of the season on IR. Hindsight is 20/20, I guess.

Just now noticed that the Jags had also picked up Carlos Hyde (drafted at 3.03) as well, so I had to go ahead and drop him from their roster.
