He is available for any pick in the 8th round.

If you want to take a chance on him, Newman is available for any pick left in the 9th round. He scored 150 points last season, & had comparable (if not better) stats to the starters. He's listed 3rd on the depth chart, but with the prevalence of slot WRs (esp in that division) he holds value in that role. Packers, Lions, & Bears all throw the ball a ton. You could do a lot worse for a 9th round flyer.
