According to the leagues monthly calendar waivers will be served on wednesday and then first come first served waivet will start at the beginning of the thursday night game... The FCFS waivers start time has been moved up two hours from 8pm Central time to 6pm Central time in case a last-minute lineup change is needed before the Thursday night game begins.

I'm really confused. The rules say no waivers until after the first week of the season so are saying you are changing the league rules to allow a waiver run prior to the start of the first week. I thought we (the league) had to approve league rules changes. I don't care what a calendar says but unless I'm reading the rules wrong something is amiss

It was voted on years ago. The rules page must not have been updated but waivers have run before the beginning of the season forever. There are always several teams that, because of trades or injuries don't have a full roster so this gives them an opportunity to fill out their teams. Its not that big of a deal really. Its the right way to do things and the rules page doesn't reflect the real policy.

Ok this is gonna sound like some bs but I figured this out last season. The waiver wire order for the first week of the season is determined by the site we use. They give each team a draft grade. The grade is determined by average draft position of you players. Depending on where you picked a player that will determine the number of points you get for that pick. So say adrian peterson is number one based on average draft position and you got him at the fifth pick you get zero point or a negative number of points because it was determine you got a steal. However if he was ranked fifth according to average draft position and you picked him first then you would receive a certain number of points. At the end of the draft whoever has the lowest number of points is considered to have had the best draft and therefore is awarded the last pick in the waiver wire for the first week. Likewise whoever has the most point based on this system from the fantasy football website we use is considered to have had the worst draft and the lowest chance of winning the league. They are awarded the first pick in the week one waiver wire. Its a strange system and it took me a bit to figure out, but I was curious last year as to why I was last in the order and didn't have nearly as good of a team as others in the league. If you would like to see this go to football14.myfantasyleague.com/2014/options?L=16333&O=182&DISPLAY=LEAGUEThe waiver wire will be the reverse order of the rankings listed on this page.

Waivers will run prior to the start of the season, tomorrow night at midnight. It has been that way since 2010 - I actually went back into the archived sites and checked. The rules have now been updated to reflect this. Sorry for the oversight and thanks for bringing it to our attention.

And waiver order is seriously determined as the broncos described. Seems like it should be 1st round order prior to trades but that makes more sense than an arbitrary site ranking as to how you drafted
