This is because I play my player's that are suppose to be studs; and wasn't scoring early. Then a player like fasano will have a good game, I finally bench a star player (ala rw) and he scores a td; this has been happening to everyone all year. What I am saying is BLATANTLY sitting your stars (ala Cotchery) against one of the worst Def in the league, and when he scored a lot for his bye week. This is the bs I dont think should be happening I cant argue, but this is very tough to police. Heck NFL teams do it all the time. This is why they through in John Beck to see "what they have". They know they wont win and obviously do not care. I agree, just saying its tough to make a rule for such a situation when it is a judgement call.

This is the bs I dont think should be happening Please recall that we are talking about a new owner. The Jets bye week was in week 5 and it is very possible that the Cards owner did not understand the carry-over rule for players on bye week. Of course, you could have alerted Mr. Cardinals about this prior to the week five game start, so that his opponent in week 5 would not have had the advantage of not playing vs. Cotchery.

Oh yeah, I also would like to see the trade deadline pushed back 1-2 weeks.

BYE WEEKS: Owners with players on a bye week can use that player's score from the previous week and carry the score over to the current week. Honestly would you not read the by-laws before joining a league? ?

Skins - I'm with you. I would have. I'm just saying I can see how a new owner (that maybe isn't as nerdy as I am about FFL) could possibly have not thoroughly gone over the rules page. Has there been any other overtly poor decisions made? If not, I think the rhetoric placed on this isolated incident should be tempered a little.

That is a much nicer way to say what I had originally typed up. Thank you.

wouldnt james hardy fall under this rule? Yes, he does. He was drafted at 3.25 and was dropped after week 7, so he is "dead" to the league. Sorry, Jeremy. Good catch, Troy.

I agree with the redskins. What we are trying to do during the season does not match up with whats taking place in the off season. There is no crystal ball but players are given away (or draft see Roy Williams trade this off season) with no real protection in the off season. Holt should be available now because:
A team who isn't doing well could give away (and should with these current rules) all there 1st -3rd round picks and go for depth at an unfair advantage to the rest of us trying to win. So then, players who are still trying to better there season should be able to (through waivers) get a shot at him.
The more you control the less fun the league will be. The less you control the more you will ave to trust your fellow players. Vote McCain and lets be done with this!

Falcons, the difference is one happens during the offseason when everyone is 0-0, the other happens in season when teams clearly have no chance. Big difference.

I hope, for the sake of all our sanity, that the Broncos were kidding.

Denver Broncos Waiver acquired Holt, Torry STL WR dropped Johnson, Bryant SFO WR
I pissed myself laughing. ;D
I think one of the commishes should just pick him up and hide him on your roster so that no one can see him. Or create a Phantom 33rd team called the Waiver Wire Dead Zombies and stow all the cuts on there.
