So if the Bucs and Dolphins don't play this weekend, how would an owner of a TEAMQB or TEAMK get any points? Commissioners you have a tough one on your hands. The talk is that they will either play at a neutral site OR would have the game on November 19th which is each teams bye week. Do you leave the results open for anyone having one of these situations and than finalize the game when the 11/19 is played? Do you use last years average points (may not be fair with changes on both Dolphins and Bucs at some of these positions?

Good question. My initial thought was to leave the scoring open until the make up game was played, but that might open up another set of problems. We'll have to head to the batcave to discuss our options.

The other option is to leave it open for only one week and use week 2 points and reverse the bye week scoring. That way there will be no conflict when they actually play on November 19th which is their scheduled bye week

This is a tough call since it affects not just the teams that have the TMQB and TMPK but everyone with a player from either of these teams, including myself. I agree with Ravens that the suggested option proposed by the Seahawks is the best solution, IMO...

This is prob something that needs to go out as a league all mail because like many people, I have a Buc or a Fin that is a heavy part of my proposed rotation and would like to know if I can start them or not.
The obvious problem becomes if I can't and want to start a chef or a patsy in their place, time is ticking.

We are in the process of discussing this and one of the commishes will let you know as soon as we can. We do have a plan in mind though.

Since a doubleheader is already scheduled in week 2, the commishes have unanimously decided to use week 3 scoring for any Dolphins/Bucs players used during the week 3 game if you want the carry-back points. With QB and K scoring, you have no choice. If you decide you want to start someone like Mike Evans or Jay Ajayi to get the carry-back points and they do not play in week 3 for whatever reason (injured, suspended, etc.), said player gets a zero for the week 1 score.
Post in this thread if you want carry-back points for any players. If the site does not allow you to post a lineup short player(s), indicate here which player(s) you want carried-back to the week 1 game from the week 3 results.

This is a great decision with one concern - how come we cannot decide after the week 3 game? IE during the year we have the option of taking the week prior to bye week points or inserting another player - but with the current decision we do not have that option - which seems unfair to the Bucs/Dolphin player owners.

I am starting Kiko and would like his carry-back from week 3.
Can we just leave the player in with his 'bye' status or do we need to start someone else as a place holder?

IE during the year we have the option of taking the week prior to bye week points or inserting another player - but with the current decision we do not have that option - which seems unfair to the Bucs/Dolphin player owners. The problem with allowing owners to choose at that point (after week 3) is that they will already know the results of ALL of their players from week 1 and week 3, so obviously they would choose whichever option gives them the most points. In a normal bye situation, you would know the points for your player on a bye from the previous week - however, you wouldn't know the points for all of your other players that haven't played yet. So, you are still taking a chance by using the bye player. By deciding now (prior to week 1) whether or not you want to use a Dolphin or Buc for week 1, you are still taking a chance that they will do better than the players who haven't played yet in week 1. Hopefully this is clear. It makes sense to me anyway.
