I thought about sitting on that last pick for a couple of weeks to make this the longest draft ever. Lol! Looking back past years: 2015: 12 days 2014: 11 days 2013: 15 days 2012: 18 days 2011: 20 days 2010: 19 days 2009: 22 days 2008: 22 days 2007: 19 days 2006: 22 days 2005: 31 days (ouch) 2004: 9 days (6 round draft) 2003: 16 days (6 round draft) 2002: 15 days (6 round draft)

I don't believe we implemented the timer right away in a number of those years (and this year we did right away). I know it sniped me!

Yeah, you're right, we only started doing a full out timer the past couple years. Teams seem to be much better overall though in my opinion. We had much more turnover back then too, I think we have a more solid core of owners now.

i will say i am totally against moving the draft back further in august. i just get to excited to get it going. its probably the best part of my year, so we should definitely not make me wait any longer for it to come. i know for a fact the bills and redskins will back me on this

I get excited too. It's just nicer a little later because you get more preseason NFL info to draft with.

This week is the week that I have had to return to work after being off for the summer and my time, effort, and energy are focused on getting ready for the school year. Prior to this week, I had plenty of time to be available to sort out any issues we had with mfl and process trades quickly to keep things moving. I will say this, though. People seem to be doing a much better job of predrafting, especially this year.

Thought I would give a shout out to myself and the Eagles who shared the honor of having an average draft time of less than a minute. Clearly we have no life and/or we took advantage of predrafting. Birds of a feather flock together. Great job to all for a quick and successful draft

Tony, clearly your priorities are out of sorts if you are putting work ahead of fantasy football Man, this week was crazy! I didn't get home until almost 10pm last night. However, I think I'm finally ready for the first day of school on Monday. Along with everything that goes with being a teacher, which involves a lot more than many people realize, my wife (also a teacher) and I have a son who is a sophomore and is in football, band, and track and a daughter in the sixth grade that is in band, book club, and who knows what else she will decide to join this year. During the school year, I sometimes think I meet myself coming and going. There are many times that I'm taking my son somewhere and at the same time my wife is taking my daughter somewhere, or vice versa. At least my son will be able to drive himself around by this time next year. Even though they keep us busy, we are blessed to have two great kids!
