It only takes 1 loss and you go home. It's happened several times.

Yeah, but he's pretty much assured on being there at the end, for years to come. Thanks for the love Pats. Lots of other good teams like the Chargers. It was a lot of luck. I really crappy my 1st year and was able to trade my 1st round pick into a decent keeper. Also being desperate for a WR I put in a waiver claim for a little known WR named Marques Colston (before he played an NFL game). I also made a terrible trade a few years ago for Steve Slaton the year he screwed up his neck but because of that trade I picked up the 3rd string Texan RB (someone beat me to his backup) Arian Foster. Its a lot of luck. My advice is fire as many bullets as you can on offensive keepers. You'll miss on most but if you do hit you'll be in great shape down the road.

Thanks for the advice Lions. Yeah, it is gonna take me i feel this year just to get the TRUE feel of the league, knowing how to draft and not. For instance, i just blew a pick on a DL, probably a complete waste since DL are a dime a dozen, but need to grasp how important keepers are on D. I have a TON of fantasy experience, but have never been in a league like this one!

So curious on where you would rank teams at this point in the draft based on positions. With TMQB's it is subjective and it is easy to follow rankings (i.e The Huddle, ESPN, FFToday) to make this determination but who had the best steal in the draft for TMQB. I am throwing out the Packers selecting the Raiders TMQB as the steal so far So from there rank the best Team's from the following: Best Steal in QB's Best RB's Best WR/TE Best DE's Best LB's Best DB/S

Can we start putting the Jets' trades to a league vote?

Can we start putting the Jets' trades to a league vote? That trade was very one sided. Washington outpointed Jackson last year, plus SD get Royal as a strong WR play, a starting LB in Foster and a starting CB/S in Jenkins for a 6th string LB and an 8th round pick. hmmmm!!!

I guess the Jets owner REALLY likes Vincent Jackson. Even then, that trade is ridiculous.

Royal is not even a weak WR candidate, def not a strong.

Royal is not even a weak WR candidate, def not a strong. Ok well Mouton is not exactly a strong LB candidate either. So lets say Mouton for Royal is a push. So, in return for Vincent Jackson and some 8th rounder, the Chargers get Nate Washington, Mason Foster, and Malcolm Jenkins. More saber burns on the Jets buttocks, I suppose.

Royal is not even a weak WR candidate, def not a strong. Respectfully, in a 32 Team League any WR 3rd on the depth chart is a good play. The fact that he actually is playing on a Team with a top 10 QB makes him stronger. Much stronger than a LB6 in terms of points. Sabre burns for Sure and the Chargers are also a Jedi Master. I also like the way he traded away for Jenkins only to get him right back.

I also like the way he traded away for Jenkins only to get him right back. Alright, so let me explain the way I see the trade. Keep in mind that ALL of us value players differently and that some player's value can increase based on what is already on the acquiring team's roster. First, I see Washington + Foster as about equal to Jackson. IMO, Nate's value will be lower this year due to the addition of Kendall Wright, the partial return of Britt, and a rookie QB that will probably lean on his TEs and screen passes to the RB while he is learning the ropes. On the other hand, the report on Jackson is that he is having an outstanding camp and I expect him to have more receptions than he usually did as a Charger due to the shorter passing game. Good for ppr. Foster had some growing pains last year, but I do like his upside. That's why I even considered trading Jackson in the first place. Second, I see Mouton as slightly more valuable than Royal, especially for the Jets. Because Spikes is on his roster and Mouton is the successor and very well could be the starter before the end of the year. He is a 2nd string, not a 6th string LB, and is an NFL 2nd round pick. There are too many mouths to feed in the SD passing game. Other than Gates, I don't see any SD receiver putting up big numbers on a regular basis. The only part of the trade that I can see as possibly being questionable is Jenkins for the 8.20. But there is so much depth at DB and Jenkins is not a highly rated guy that I don't think that it is grossly disproportionate. I just asked for him back because I like the guy as a player, not because I expect him to set the world on fire. Now, before you guys rip back into me, consider that I don't have to be on here explaining myself. But I do want you to understand where I am coming from. I never want anyone to feel like I have "ripped them off". My goal when I make a trade is to make BOTH teams better. I feel like I have done that here. He added a superstar WR and a solid successor at LB and I added protection at LB (due to Lofton's high ankle sprain), depth at WR, and swapped a late pick for a DB, of which there are a ton. The thing that upsets me the most is the perception that I ripped off a friend, especially the "saber on the buttocks" comment. Donovan and I go to church together. We see each other multiple times a week, so we are going to talk about football. We each want to improve our own team, but not at the expense of the other guy. We are both happy with this trade or else it would not have been made. Again, I'm just sharing my viewpoint with you guys. While you read this, keep in mind that I worked 12 hours today, had open house (i.e. meetings with parents) at school tonight, and am focused on getting things ready to start the school year on Monday. Sorry that this is so long, but now you know where I stand. ETA: the word "receiver" was left out.

Hey two friends agreed on a trade that they and the Commissioners felt was mutually benefical, enough said. I don't believe for a second anyone insinuated that this was a rip-off just very one-sided. Would I have done this trade if I were the Jets? No. But I'm sure I have pulled off trades that would and did bring the same or similar comments. It's all in fun and this is still the best league around. Geez Chargers, you are loaded at LB, I guess you get my vote for best LB Corps.

ETA: the word "receiver" was left out.Basically, these 7 paragraphs can be decoded as the following: "These aren't the droids you're looking for. Move along." Chargers, you are definitely a Jedi Master. And, I certainly did not mean to offend you or anyone else with the sabre burns on the buttocks comment. I am only regurgitating an earlier post from the Colts, which I found to be pretty funny. So I am going to use it and not let it die. The trade is done, I thought the Chargers got the better end of it. That's it.
