Just to let you guys know, I have traded the 1.16 pick. We're just waiting on one of the other commishes to process it.

I disagree with commishes making picks for owners who can't even draft or pre-draft. In the past they would miss their pick and once they decided to come onto the site - then they could pick.

I disagree with commishes making picks for owners who can't even draft or pre-draft. In the past they would miss their pick and once they decided to come onto the site - then they could pick. From the league rules: If an owner knows that he/she will miss a portion of the draft, he/she must submit a player ranking list to the commissioners so that they can make selection for that owner. The commissioner(s) will develop a master player ranking list to use. If any owner misses their pick in the first 3 rounds, the commissioners will make that owner's selection for him/her from the master list. Any pick missed after round 3 will be skipped until the owner makes a replacement selection.Notice that there are different procedures for nonkeeper and keeper picks. If you disagree with this rule, then you may suggest a change to the league rule for the following year at the proper time, which is in February.

Yeah, that's been the rule for quite a few years.

Just to let you guys know, Donovan (Jets owner) is traveling back from a mission trip to El Salvador today, so I'm sure his internet access is not real great right now.
I have sent him both an email and a text letting him know that he is on the clock. If he is unable to make his pick and instead sends his pick to me, I will go ahead and make it for him. But, until we hear from him one way or the other (call/text/email me or actually making his pick), then I guess we'll wait.

Also Ravens, the reason we make the pick in the first 3 rounds is because:
1. If the current owner gets booted, we want the new owner to field a competitive team.
2. First 3 rounds are much easier to "rank" value. Keeper picks have a completely different value and varies greatly between each individual. For this reason we do not make picks after round 3.

Man! Chiefs! Why did you have to take Mathews?!? Not that I expected to get him, because I didn't, but why did he have to go to a division rival? Well, I guess I'll hope for him to do well except for the two weeks that we play each other. Then, Rivers needs to just go ahead and throw for 5 TDs each game and the heck with the running games those two weeks. ;D BTW, those two weeks are Week 3 (vs. the Chiefs!!) and Week 10 (vs. Oakland)....hmmm...very interesting!

Solid picks, Lions. Raiders back on clock. Maybe he can get both picks taken care of...

Man, wth is going on here. These guys are seriously slacking. Side note, chiefs owner is away for the weekend but gave me a list to draft from. I need to remove commish lockout for a minute to put in the predraft list. Or assuming the Texans timer expires I could just do both at once. I am considering dropping the timer to 8 or 10 hours at this point.
